Keeps burning up the fuel pump

Car would turn over but not crank. I was told the fuel pump was bad, had it replaced. A few weeks later it started doing the same thing, took it to a different mechanic. He said the fuel pump was burned up. He replaced it, it ran for 3 days and it started doing the same thing. Now it want crank.
