Trunk problem

What is your question?

I went shopping and was able to pop my trunk from the inside of my car.When I came home my trunk did not want to open. I can hear it clicking when I press the button inside of my car but my trunk is not opening. I'm able to open it with a key. Please help what could be a problem?
