Roaring noise coming from front wheel well.

While driving the car a roaring noise is coming from the front wheel well. The noise stops when I slightly turn the wheels to the right. The car was involved in an accident, hit on the rear drivers side and spun sideways. The rear axle had to be replaced. But what could be causing this roaring noise?
