I have a 1997 lumina thats overheating so i change the thermostat... Put it back together, 1st it idled low then starting speeding up out of control. I turned it off and checked...Everythings hooked back up but it wont stop doing that... Why??
Check the vacuum line behind the throttle body. On mine the gasket was crack and it was sucking air. Find the PVC valve on the front valve cover and follow the vacuum line back to the throttle body. The line "T"s and there is a Gasket where the line enters the intake. I found a replacement line in the "Help" products at Advance Auto.
