turn new ignition switch to run position, but no dash lights momentarily; but after a few minutes the dash lights came on and engine started ok! This happened just after everythings ok, and just stopped to run an errand; please help.

At first I thought it was the ignition switch, so I replaced it. ... turned the new ignition switch to run position, but no dash lights momentarily; but after a few minutes the dash lights came on and engine started ok! This happened just after everything ok, and just stopped to run an errand; please help. Note that sometimes the dash board 's speed needle and RPM needle swing up/down, especially with the turn signals on. Also the cruise control got unlocked when the left turn signal on, but not when the right turn signal on!!!! !
