If your side detection system starts to go, be careful! It could cause your vehicle to do funny things. Like your door locks will not work properly, and then your vehicle will not start! Meaning, I went to start my car one morning and it would not start. Replaced the battery, then had it towed to Chevy. It would not start because of the side sensor system. Because of the side sensor system. I purchased the car new in December of 2013. Luckily, I got the extended warranty for three years. 3 years later just under warranty, I had the side sensor system replaced. I had to replace it again in 2019. This time, it cost me $1,050 to replace it. So it seems, we have to replace it every 3 years. GM does not recognize an issue because there's not enough complaints about it! Anyone who reads this, needs to make sure, GM knows about it!
