What is your question?
So i just got the car it was my parents and was sitting for like a year or 2 and so the issue im having is i dont know how to explain it properly but when i try to crank over the car it doesnt but theres no sound or anything its like its not sending a signal to the starter which starter is new and battery is charged and is less than a year old. I wanna try and figure this problem out i dont know if its a wiring issue but i wanna try to have that be last thing since id have to search through the entire engine and stuff. The car is fine when the key is turned once everything comes on like radio lights dashlights its like everything is normal but when i crank radio, lights, everything just goes off except for the dashlights.
How long has your 2014 Chevrolet Impala had this problem?

Hi - Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. My first question is when the car begin sitting, was it because there was a problem with it? Or was it that your parents didn't need it or we'e unable to drive it? If the car was in otherwise perfect working order at the time it was parked for the extended period, I would suspect you still have a problem with the engine's battery. I recognize that you said that the battery is charged and less than a year old – but if it was sitting for a really long period of time, even if it's fairly new, the battery may be unable to sustain a load. I would start simply by having the battery professionoally tested. I sense you will find out it is not capable of doing the job. Going down a rabbit hole of other possible problems without eliminating the obvious is a bad idea. Even if the battery is in great shape, you can't even guarantee a new starter motor is working properly. You'll have to test that as well. Don't let yourself get misguided by the assumption that new components mean good components. Start there and then share the results.
