Hit a pothole now its violently shaking but only when accelerating

Reading your concern, my first guess is to look at the front drive axles and see if something is damage or out of round. If so, they will definitely cause a severe steering wheel shaking, If not resolved. You could have several other possible causes, and troubleshooting with hands on experience as well as knowing what you are looking for is needed.
