Where is the neutral safety switch located

That pesky neutral safety switch is typically located on the side of the transmission. It prevents the engine from starting unless the transmission is in Park or Neutral. If your car starts in Neutral but not in Park, it is most likely the neutral safety switch is malfunctioning.
