Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Well, we shouldn't remain neutral on this subject! Look, I'm sorry. It's all I had. That pesky neutral safety switch is typically located on the side of the transmission. It prevents the engine from starting unless the transmission is in Park or Neutral. If your car starts in Neutral but not in Park, it is most likely the neutral safety switch is malfunctioning. Good luck and if you need to, have a mechanic inspect and possibly replace the switch to resolve the starting issue. If you have any other questions feel free to call us at 877-913-1554!
