What is your question?
EXAMPLES: When tank is full, and engine on or off, gauge shows Empty, 1/4 full, 1/3 full, 1/2 full, 3/4 full, 1/4inch past full, 1/2inch past full, etc. EXAMPLE: When tank is 1/4 full, gauge shows Empty, Full, Past Full, 1/2inch past full, 3/4inch past full, etc. GET THE PICTURE. Same thing happened 1 year ago, and, SUPPOSEDLY, corrected with new sending unit gauge on tank by mechanic.

THE YOU SCAN THE COMPUTER, IT WILL DISPLAY THE FAULT CODE......DID YOU PUT AN AFTERMARKET SENDING UNIT?? IT MIGHT BE A FAULTY CLUSTER ITSELF! EXACTLY HOW LONG AGO DID YOU HAVE IT DONE?
Qualified mechanic, SUPPOSEDLY, dropped gas tank and replace the sending unit or gauge, maybe, a year and a half ago.
DO YOU HAVE "CHECK ENGINE" OR "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" LIGHT ON. IF YOU DO HAVE IT SCANNED AND IT WILL CONFIRM THE FAILURE. IT MAY BE A FAULTY AFTERMARKET UNIT.
Yes, check engine light did come on, weeks after gas gauge issue. At that time, scan indicated bad upper and lower 02 sensors, which was replaced. Light remained on. A second scan still indicated bad 02 sensors. Sensors were, SUPPOSEDLY, replaced again, for the second time, as well as checking "probable causes", since warranty was still in effect, by qualified mechanic. Check engine light remained on, again. A third scan from Auto Zone, Pep Boys, and Advanced Auto, all indicated bad 02 sensors. The mechanic then decided to issue a receipt for "work done" when I go for state inspection, to get a waiver from inspection. SO....
OK THE FACT THAT THE GAS GAUGE IS ACTING THIS WAY IS DUE TO THE FLOATER AT THE SENDING UNIT IS FAULTY.
