What is your question?
My check engine and acs light is on. I need a converter change and acs change. My driveway has a slope and while going up the slope I have pressed the gas petal and my gas refused to go forward it switched to drive but continued to slip down my driveway
What makes this problem better or worse?
The faster you have to drive the more time it takes to speed up
How long has your 2004 Chevrolet Impala had this problem?
A few weeks

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! It sounds like your Impala’s got a case of the “slips.” If your car’s not moving forward even when you press the gas, especially on a slope, it could be a sign that your transmission is slipping or not engaging properly. The check engine and ABS lights being on could also point to related issues. Since you mentioned needing a converter change, that could be a key player here too. You might have a transmission or torque converter issue that's preventing power from getting to the wheels. Definitely something to get checked out soon, as continuing to drive it could make things worse.
