Sounds like an electrical issue in your steering column wiring or a an intermittently defective Ignition Switch, which I have replaced on these cars.

Ours was doing the same thing. It turned out to be the ignition switch.

Sounds like an electrical issue in your steering column wiring or a an intermittently defective Ignition Switch, which I have replaced on these cars.
