I have a 2002 Chevy impala, 3800, 6 cylinder, 3.8 liter and the gas gauge doesn't work, if i'm driving it shows i have a full tank of gas and if i'm not moving the gauge moves around and sometimes says its empty when it clearly is not. what is the problem?
Sounds like the sender in the tank failed.
do i need to replace the gasket on top of the gas tank after i pull the fuel sending unit out?
