i have a 2001 impala and the antitheft system is causeing me all kibd of problems and now the display is showing cAL error does anyone knows what that means -

Is this a factory-installed anti-theft system? If these things are going haywire, you may need a software download or something else. I'd call your dealership with your VIN and see if there are any software updates or something that you've missed.
