what would cause the car to skip or hiccup - uncomfortable driving over 25 to 30?

fixed the non start issue by overriding the security system. On to a different issue: Immediately will skip when accelerated to about 20 or 25 mph. Got a new gas cap, new fuel filter, any suggestions plz?
