What is your question?
i have a noise that sounds like it coming from tension pulley area. guy at advance said that my tension pulley did have some play in it but others tell me different! i had each pulley checked an guy said pulleys were fine..at times it sounds like i ran over a puppy cause it makes like a yelping noise.i know u probably hear noises due to the higher mileage but i would really like to get a straight answer. had alternator tested an its fine but once again i was told it bould be the bearings in alternator! suggestions please!!! thanks

i would start with a belt. since the new cars use both sides of the belt, any metal showing from wear gives out a lot of noise. spray some water on the belt while it is running and see if the noise goes away. if it does, replace the belt. if not you need a shop to remove the belt and find out the component that has failed. Roy
ok so just spray serpintine belt??
it will only verify if the belt id bad. it is not a fix. if it stops the noise, replace the belt. Roy
thank you! going to see now...sure i'll be back... one more question ,i can just spray it at carwash??? wont mess anything else up?? just the luck i have! also it mainly does it after its been running awhile
yep dont flood it. a little spray bottle would be enough. Roy
Sprayed the belt and it started to squeal????
the tensioner has lost its ability to keep tension. i would start by replacing the tensioner and belt and see what happens Roy
Ok.thanks
