How to check radio antenna

What is your question?

My HHR has a few issues any my money is limited so I would like to repair on my own. 1. At some point the antenna isn't working (have AM and cd use). How do I check where it needs repair. 2. Both driver side electric windows stopped working at same time. How can I troubleshoot? 3. WTHeck.. No way to program a new clicker without needing expensive tools?? Used to be easy. What's up??
