What is your question?
The engine suddenly turns off while driving down the road and you have to find a place to pull over before it stops rolling! Major hazard. Notice on dashboard is - ENGINE DISENGAGED This has happened 6 times. It is in the shop now; it has been in the shop more time than it has been on the road. I bought it with 110,000 miles on it and it now has 111,000 miles. Chevrolet needs to recall all of these vehicles or be liable for the next pile up that happens because the engine commits suicide in heavy traffic!!!
What makes this problem better or worse?
This happens with no warning
How long has your 2006 Chevrolet HHR had this problem?

Hello, why is Chevrolet responsible for a vehicle that has over 100,000 miles and is 15 years old? At some point, the vehicle has lasted past the expected warranted lifespan, and if you choose to continue to operate it, you'll need to have needed diagnostic testing performed and spend whatever it takes to repair it. I hear you that you're frustrated, but blaming Chevrolet instead of whoever owned it for the first 110,000 miles -- who maybe didn't perform needed maintenance and repairs -- seems inappropriate. Good luck.
