How long has your 1994 Chevrolet G30 had this problem?

Are you talking about the whole distributor? Auto parts store dont list any other distributor parts besides rotor and cap.

That’s the usual culprit ! I always just replace the *distributor assembly* due to shaft bushing wear .. Determined by ‘lateral’ shaft movement. You’re welcome.
