Is valvoline 5w30 Durablend oil API SN safe for our van

one GM dealership told me it was unsafe and would damage my engine, so I paid another GM dealership to change oil again today to AcDelco 5w30 Dexos full synthetic oil. I had valvoline change it on March 8, 2018and Gm March 14, 2018. I always used GM but they were busy and I really needed oil change
