whats the solution if metal shavings were found in fuel line system

Metal "shavings" (?) .. More likely just a few metal filings from the fuel pump, replace fuel filter and keep an ear trained on the fuel pump for unusual noise - while engine is running or during the 2 second prime when key is turned to the ON position. High pitched squealing or grinding noise from pump is an indicator it needs to be replaced!
