What is your question?
The alert sounds like the seatbelt alert and goes off randomly while I'm traveling. There is no service light that comes on. It seems to go off if there is a lane change so I'm not sure if it is seatbelt or steering related. I took the vehicle to the Chevy dealer and they 'plugged it in' and there were no issues found.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Worse... changing lanes
How long has your 2018 Chevrolet Equinox had this problem?
Two weeks

Hi, my name is Devin. I am an auto repair expert with the Car Genius team here at RepairPal. I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your vehicle. It sounds like the alert you're hearing could be linked to the lane departure warning system. The fact that it happens when changing lanes suggests it could be a normal function of this advanced driver-assist feature. Sometimes, sensors can become dirty or misaligned, causing the system to give false alerts without triggering a warning light. Checking and cleaning your vehicle's cameras and sensors may help, or there could be an intermittent fault in the wiring. If the dealership scan didn't show any issues, it may require further diagnostic work to test those systems while driving. If you need more advice, have any other questions about your vehicle, or would like to get connected to a RepairPal Certified shop near you, we have you covered.
