Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! If your 2014 Chevrolet Equinox is giving you a clunk when you turn the wheel, even after replacing the steering shaft, you're on the right track but might not have hit the jackpot yet. The tie rod ends are a good next step but don't forget to check the sway bar links, control arm bushings, or even the strut mounts. These parts can create clunking noises when worn out, especially when the suspension flexes during steering. It’s like trying to steer a shopping cart with a wobbly wheel—no fun, and definitely something to fix soon!
