I drove my car up the road less than a minute from home. Turned the car off for maybe 5 minutes and it wouldn’t start back up. It was clicking and trying to start.. all lights& radio came on. I finally got it started it sounded terrible..loud noises from engine? On the way back home the car died I tried to restart it and my key fob fell apart. Now it won’t start at all. My battery died and now my key is stuck in the ignition!
How long has your 2011 Chevrolet Equinox had this problem?

If you don't normally work on cars I think it's time you bring it in. Sounds like you have a few issues and a hands-on inspection is needed. Could be a bad battery, alternator and sounds like you need a key. Alex
Hello, sounds like initially you may have a battery that is low in charge and not able to crank the engine adequately. As far as the loud noises from the engine -- what kind of noises? Sounds like you need to seek immediate guidance from a local technician and shop. As far as the key fob falling apart - you may be left with no choice but to seek help from your local dealership.
