Am I able to pull the rear drive shaft and still be able to drive the car?

I have a 2009 awd chevy equinox, had 2 people look at my car. Car is vibrating and clunking through out the car. One said that I can pull the rear drive shaft and still be able to drive the car while the other opinion said it is not possible since it is all in one. Second opinion said it was the rear transfer case. Trying to figure out who tell me the truth.
