What is your question?
The vehicle has been maintained at the dealership where it was purchased. About a year ago when it was in for an oil change the cap was left off the radiator . The car was towed to a nearby auto repair shop and repaired. No problems since. The engine light came on last week and the car is now at the dealer. It appears to be a turbo problem. It will be diagnosed shortly . Normally turbo problems are associated with oil contamination or oils related issues. If the oil is changed on a regular basis. What is the most likely reason fir the failure? If I replace the turbo is that solving the problem. Steve. 716-289-7462

I'd definitely await diagnostic results before coming to any conclusions. However, sometimes turbochargers become contaminated by just normal wear that you can't be rid of. As many vehicles today are moving towards turbocharging, it is likely that more will be needed for replacement as time goes on. You may even have extended emissions coverage for this component so make sure to follow the dealerships lead on this and ask questions accordingly.
