Hi - Dave here, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. If it shredded so soon after replacement, I would look at the alignment of the pulleys - make sure it was installed with all ribs engaged in pulleys. Also, check the tensioner and idler pulleys for free movement - as well as all the other pulleys.
