What is your question?
Scenario: 2012 Chevy Cruze, driving down the road(speed does not matter, or being stopped), all of the sudden the doors unlock, then lock, the dash displays "Service Power Steering"(mechanically the power steering was NOT lost) as well as "Service Traction Control", and the transmission appears to be suddenly thrown into neutral, which if driving, will inadvertently shoot the rpm's way up. This lasts about 3-8 seconds, then goes away and everything is back to normal. Only a SINGLE code is found using an Autel MK9 series which is coming from the Power Steering Control Module(U0100:00 - Lost communication with engine control module malfunction), that's what the code says word for word. The vehicle has had several parts replaced(Alternator, Battery, Negative Batt Cable, Fuse block on top of batt), as well as extensive electrical testing done(continuity tests, resistance tests, voltage and ground tests, etc...). Everything tested is proving out within spec or good. What is happening?

Hello, with an incredible amount of respect, what is it you think we're going to come up with here with such a crazy concern that has a tremendous amount of variables involved? Sounds like people have already been working on this vehicle. You can certainly try different people who may have a different perspective -- https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554. We'll gladly find you a certified RepairPal shop in your area. Beyond that, realize that most of the time goofy electrical stuff like this happens when there is physical damage that has occurred. Think: accident, body work, and water damage. Anything like that in the vehicle's 13 years of life? Think about what you know of -- and beyond that, extensive electrical systems testing must be performed, referencing workshop wiring diagrams with diagnostic tools handy. Good luck!
