What is your question?
It seems the engine light comes on and stays on for several days then I start the car and it may be off a day or so. I have taken the car to several shops and they say it shows the car is misfiring but at the same time it isn't. I did have a fuel system problem, replaced both pumps and repaired the issues with the crossover line. The cars runs great but the check engine light still comes on ( it never flashes).
What makes this problem better or worse?
Not sure, however it usually comes on after the car warm. Then it stays on cold or hot unless the codes get cleared. Of course, soon after the check engine light comes back on.
How long has your 2006 Chevrolet Corvette had this problem?
More than a month

Hi - I am Dave, contributing to RepairPal and providing expert advice since 2010. "Misfiring" - so it's a matter of what codes are being set. P0300 and P0316 are kind of random; P0301 - P0308 would pertain to specific cylinders. All of this are clues, not diagnostic results. Testing is required to figure out why trouble codes are set. If the system is seeing a misfire, that it's happening – even if it's not happening regularly. It's going to take persistence and further testing to sort this out. Hands on is needed. Guessing won't help you. So stick with that shop or find a new one! -- https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link to find some shops near you who can help out!
