What is your question?
I purchased this car two years ago and have since bought new battery once in awhile the car will not start the battery is fully charged. (Husband check's every time) We have to remove the cables from battery every time for a few to get the car to start. It has even locked me in. (crazy I know). Has any one else had this problem?
What makes this problem better or worse?
disconnect battery to reset system
How long has your 2005 Chevrolet Corvette had this problem?
2 seasons

Hi, this is Bo, an auto expert on RepairPal's Car Genius team! Ah, the Corvette's security system acting up – that's a bit like having a guard dog that occasionally forgets who you are. You're not alone with this quirky issue. The Corvette’s security system can be a bit finicky, especially as it ages. When your car doesn’t start, it’s likely the Passlock system acting up, thinking someone’s trying to steal your prized possession. Removing and reconnecting the battery cables is like giving your Corvette a little memory reset. It's a temporary fix, but we need something more permanent. The fact that it’s locking you in is definitely a security feature gone haywire. Maybe it's like that movie Christine! It’s probably a problem with the BCM (Body Control Module) or the key fob's signal. I'd recommend getting the system checked by a professional. They can reprogram or replace the faulty components. In the meantime, carrying a small toolkit to quickly disconnect the battery might just save you from being an accidental prisoner in your own Corvette!
