Are there any codes that are set? Is this the lt1 engine... not a zL1? If an Lt1, check if you have spark when this happens. Distributors and caps are very common problems. Have also seen bad coil wires causing a crank, no start

is it the whole distributor or just cap and rotor about 4 years ago optispark went and car was running on 5 or 6 cylinders now is not missing is a intermittent problem thanks Larry

Sorry, the other engine is a zr1,,, not zl1. I'm going to guess it is a lt1. Code 16 is almost always a distributor(optispark)problem,

Sorry, the other engine is a zr1,,, not zl1. I'm going to guess it is a lt1. Code 16 is almost always a distributor(optispark)problem,
