problem with car engine what could be the problem. need advise

It could be many things, unfortunately and without experiencing the problem first hand or being able to do some basic diagnostic tests its hard to say. Hopefully it's just an ignition problem or something simple (inexpensive). If the Check Engine Light/Service Engine Soon Light is on cods stored in the computer of your car will indicate where the problem is, but a scan tool will be needed to retrieve codes stored. Too many possibilities, ignition, fuel issues, fuel injector, vacuum leak, burned valve, too many possibilities to just hazard a guess.
