Hello, I’m Pete from the Car Genius team at RepairPal. I’m sorry you’re dealing with this concern on your Chevrolet Colorado. With an engine that feels like its missing or even that "fish bite" feel and no fault codes coming up, this can in some cases indicate a fault with a component like the transmission torque converter, torque converter clutch, or even pressure control solenoid acting up as these can create this concern without setting off a warning light or a fault code. I recommend having the vehicle operated with a high end scan tool plugged into it to monitor engine misfire signals to rule out this being a misfire. If a misfire is seen on the scan tool when it occurs then I recommend having the injectors tested, ignition coils, and spark plugs. If no misfires are seen then I recommend having the transmission components checked into as stated above to see if any of them are causing this concern and needing to be repaired or replaced.
