What is your question?
I have a 2009 Chevy Colorado. It starts up fine and will drive a couple of minutes, but then it won't accelerate. The rpms go up, but it won't move. If I shut it off and wait a few minutes it will go again, but does the same thing all over. No check engine light. Transmission fluid is good and clean. Is it the filter? Torque converter? What could be causing it?
What makes this problem better or worse?
Nothing
How long has your 2009 Chevrolet Colorado had this problem?

If the engine speed / RPM's go up, but the vehicle doesn't move, it sounds like a transmission slip. Why it's happening - too hard to know until hands on testing is performed utilizing a diagnostic tool that can monitor component operation besides checking for diagnostic trouble codes. https://repairpal.com/repair-shops
