at different times it wont start have power.it only happens 1 or 2 times a month

It's part of your steering colum its a short that has to be replaced I had it replaced in mine for about two hundred dollars or so If I remember its apart of the security system.mine only did it like one or twice a month at first .than a period where it didn't happen at all than it became everyday
