On you 2006 Chevrolet Colorado, you must remove the hub assembly in order to take the rotor off - the rotor is bolted to the back side of the hub.

On you 2006 Chevrolet Colorado, you must remove the hub assembly in order to take the rotor off - the rotor is bolted to the back side of the hub.

The hub is bolted to the steering knuckle from the inside, most commonly there are three bolts. You may need to push the axle in (after removing the nut) in order to remove the bolts. A special tool may be necessary to push the axle in if it is stuck due to rust or other debris.
