Rpm needle doesn’t move while cranking and truck won’t start

I wouldn't expect the RPM needle to move until the engine runs. Cranking without starting could be a fuel control, ignition spark, air intake or emissions control issue. Could be an anti-theft issue possibly too. I'm not sure how your vehicle is equipped, so really - you'll need to have hands on testing performed to see what's going on.
