What is your question?
This was discovered while mounting 2 new front tires. Old tires had uneven wear. Front end feels a little "loose". Mechanic wrote "Control arm w/ ball jt lower includes bushings" needs replaced. Eventual failure will result in wheel detaching from car while driving. Mechanic said this was recalled by Chevy but I can't find any note of this while researching on the internet, only other recalls from Chevy on 09 Cobalts. Was there a recall for this problem?
What makes this problem better or worse?

Hello, certainly check with your local dealership to see if your vehicle has been included in any safety recalls. Make sure you have your vehicle identification number (VIN) handy to share with the service representative you speak to. I'm doubting you have any available coverage from Chevrolet, but it does sounds like your 13 year old vehicle could use some repairs.
