What is your question?
Car will drive fine for a while and then temperature will creep up to 230 or so. Let cool down and no water loss.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Sitting and idling.

If your coolant level is ok then make sure the engine fan is coming on. If that's ok then you may have a few things going on. A bad thermostat would be most common but this could also be a clogged radiator. Something else that's easy to check is if dirt or debris has clogged the ac condenser or radiator.
