What is your question?
Don't know much about the car. Just purchased it a month ago give or take. It has drove fine until 2 days ago. In the past couple days my car has been randomly shutting off while at a stop but will start back up. The brakes felt like it jerked when coming to a stop on the passenger side. It feels like it is missing when i first take off and the rpm/mph gauge goes up and down while idoling and driving. I took it and had it scanned and it read evap leak. I was told that would cause all these problems. Just wanting to see if someone else has had or dealt with issues like this. No burning smell or odd sounds. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
What makes this problem better or worse?
Worse when car has been runn8ng for a while.
How long has your 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt had this problem?

Hello, evaporative emissions concerns do not cause jerking or driving issues, nor will it cause stalling concerns. Without a trouble code to review, I cannot really say for sure if your concern is related to the set code. However, fuel vapors not being properly burned do not result in driving concerns that you experience; it's about emissions controls. Hands on testing is needed to see what is causing the jerking and stalling. This is going to be more than retrieving trouble codes - testing of components and their circuits are needed. https://repairpal.com/auto-repair-near-me Click the link or call us at 877-913-1554.
