How about the power steering? It always goes out most of the time when im low on gas or do alot of turning. When it goes out i have to pull over on the side of the highway, put my car in park, turn it off, wait a few minutes, then start it back and wait again for everything to come back on!

Vehicle Application: 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt LS 2.2L 2006 Pontiac G6 GT 3.5L Customer Concern: Looses power steering, cycle key off and on again and it is fixed. Scan tool does not support this system. Tests/Procedures: 1. When the power steering fails verify there is good power and ground to the power steering module. 2. Check for binding front end parts that would cause steering to be hard. 3. If all OK replace the power steering module/motor assembly. Potential Causes: Binding Front End Parts Ground Power Power Steering Control Module (PSCM) Tech Tips: At this time the motor and module are being serviced as a assembly.
REPLACE THE EPS SYSTEM (Electrical Power Steering)!!! Go to any salvage or junk yards and see if they have a EPS system from a chevy cobalt... I had this EXACT problem. You have to replace the EPS system.
