What's wrong with my auto locks?

What is your question?

The auto locks on my 2005 cobalt work, but when I unlock the car, the alarm goes crazy. This happens whenever I use them, which is very rarely. The guy who sold it to me said not to use the auto locks. So if you guys know what to do, let me know.
