I was told it could be the crank sensor maybe
What makes this problem better or worse?
Not driving it everyay maybe

From your posted description it seems the engine is not CRANKING at all - that is not the result of a failed crankshaft position sensor .. It is possible the battery cabling is not making proper connection at the battery OR the starter motor is failing .. Hint > SOMETIMES lightly tapping the starter motor housing with small hammer or like tool will aid a failing starter motor and it will rank the engine over .. Then it must be replaced to prevent such problems form occurring again.
Of coarse this could be a failing battery as well. Good luck!
