What is your question?
I went to a carwash one day and while I was going through the wash the giant pads that hang down and scrubs your car caught my windshield wiper and bent them out of place and now my windshield wipers don't work. I was told I need a motor of some type. How can I find out for sure, because I did have a person who does mechanic work on the side fix it temporarily but now it's not working again.

The car wash brushes may have snagged your wiper arms and caused damage to the wiper linkages , spindles or motor assembly. You would have to remove the wiper arms, turn on the wiper motor see if you hear the motor operate when you turn on the wiper switch. If you hear the wiper motor operate chances are the motor is OK and the linkage has problems. There is no way to access the damage without disassemble or partial disassemble of the wiper mechanism.
