Hello, "pumping the gas" on a vehicle that does not have a carburetor is not functionally doing much. A fuel injection and throttle body set up feeds fuel too the injectors. Depressing the pedal to the floor will often halt the delivery of fuel to the engine; perhaps you are doing that successfully?
