check the Main cooling fan (radiator fan) I had one that went out and that was the problem. if you let the car idle for extended periods of time does the temperature keep rising over 100 F. if so I would first check the fuse and relay. but it is common to have the fan die. also another culprit i have heard of was the A/C temperature sensor or connector.
