What would need replacement if the clutch wont shift into gears

What is your question?

Smoke can out of the front of the engine and the gear wouldn't work in any other gears except first.

What makes this problem better or worse?

Have not drove it after this first instance

Hello, I'm not sure what has caused your symptoms, but it sounds mechanical to me, and I don't know that a clutch is all you need. Have it inspected, and determine what broke. There is catastrophic damage of some time.
