Basic hand tools are usually all that is necessary to replace a throttle cable. Take a close look at the cable on your 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier, it will need to be removed from any retaining brackets, released from the throttle plate and the accelerator pedal and finally pulled through the firewall. You will need to look at the rubber grommet which holds the cable at the firewall to see if is should come out the engine side or the interior side.
