Dash Speed L.E.D."s dims...

My 1995 Caprice Dash L.E.D. lights dim after approx 1-hr of driving... Since i am techically savvy can i replace capacitors on the back side of the dash to correctly hold a charge??? I have just replaced the headlight sw. assy. because of age conciderations anyhow... Thank-you.....
