my convertable top wont open, the message reads extend cargo shade

Hello, In the trunk, there is a divider that prevents things in the cargo area from shifting into the convertible top once it folds down. It is called the cargo shade, and I don't see why, because... does it really shade cargo? It lays flat on the floor of the trunk, and the end farthest from you will have a little hole in the corners. Lift up the end that is farthest from you, and that clicks onto two little buttons near the top of the trunk opening. After that, you can open the roof! I think it is worth it just to watch the process happen. There are some videos out there that show how it works as well.

I also have a 2017 as camaro and mine quick going down. It keeps telling me to extend mine and it Is extended. Any suggestions
